Step 1: First of all, launch the blank Excel document
Step 2: Launch File and then select Open.
Step 3: Choose corrupted files from the Open dialog box and then go to the drop-down menu and select "Open and Repair".

Step 1: First of all, go to the Excel file and then right-click on it. After that, select Properties.
Step 2: Select Previous Versions and then select the latest version and then select Restore.

Step 7: Now, you will see a select sheet dialog box on the screen. Select the appropriate sheet and then click on OK.
Step 8: Select cell A1and then click on Home and then finally select copy.
Step 9: Choose the area in the cell A1, which has the same size as the range of cells that have data in the corrupted workbook.
Step 10: Select Home and then click on Paste.
Step 11: Now, copy all selected cells by selecting Home and then click on Copy.
Step 12: Select Home, then paste and then finally click on Paste Values. This will remove all the links to corrupted Excel file. This will only leave you with the data.
Carry out the steps mentioned below in order to recover a TMP file.
Step 1: First of all, open File Explorer and then go to This PC.
Step 2: Go to the Users folder and the double-click on it. After that, launch the AppData or Default folder.
Step 3: Select Microsoft from the local folder.
Step 4: Search for the Office Folder and then select UnsavedFiles.
Step 5: After that, search for the temporary excel files starting with $ and ending with.TMP.
Step 6: Copy these files and save them in another location with .XLS extension.
