If your Windows PC freezes or crashes frequently, then that means your device has a defective physical memory. Fortunately, you can test the Windows memory by using an inbuilt diagnostic tool.
Windows will automatically run the diagnostic tools when it detects that your RAM is failing. If you want, you can also run the tool yourself.
Carry out the steps mentioned below in order to learn how to run Windows memory diagnostic tool.
Step 1: First of all, launch Control Panel and then go to Administrative tools.
Step 2: After that, select Windows Memory Diagnostic tool.
Step 3: Now either select "Check my problems the next time I start my computer" or "Restart now and check for problems".
Step 4: Chose your memory test options and then run the test. When your computer will restart, your tool will start and run a memory test. You can change the test options by pressing F1. Alternatively, you can run it with standard settings.
Step 5: After that, run the test. This may take a while.
Once the test is over, your Windows will start and then you will see the results displayed on the screen. You can also open Event Viewer, select Windows Logs, and then select System. If you want, you can select the log with MemoryDiagnostics.
