How to Create a Slideshow with Music on Windows 11 & 10?

1) Use the Photos App to Create a Slideshow 

Step 1: Use your magnifying glass icon to open the search bar

Step 2: Type your photo and then select the first entry to launch the photos app

Step 3: Go to the Video Editor option in the Photos app. 

Step 4: After that, go to the new tab and then select the option of "New Video Project" in the middle. 

Step 5: Now, in the Next Window, you must name the slideshow and then click on Ok.

Step 6: After that, go to the Add button from the Project library. 

Step 7: A new drop-down menu will appear before you where you will be asked to choose the source you wish to use. Here, we are going to select the "This PC" source.

Step 9: After that, go to the Project Library and highlight the images. 

Step 10: Then, drag the images to the Storyboard section. 

Step 11: You can change how long every photo stays on the screen by changing the time and selecting the time. 

Step 12: If you wish to add music, select the Custom audio option at the top. 

Step 13: Another window will open up before you on the screen where you will be asked to select the option Add audio file at the top

Step 14: Choose an audio file or song that you wish to add. 

Step 15: You can decide how long you wish for the audio file to last by sliding the tab given at the end.  

Step 16: After selecting how long you want the video to last, select Done.

Step 17: Click on the Play button to test the slideshow. 

Step 18: When you are done doing that, select the Finish video option given at the top right-hand corner. 

Step 19: After that, a small window option will appear before you. Go to the drop-down menu given below the video quality option to choose the resolution of the slideshow. 

Step 20: Choose the Export button. 

Step 21: Give a name to your slideshow and then select Export

Step 22: Now, you will be able to watch the entire slideshow

2) Use Canva

Step 1: Go to Canva's presentation category and then select Browse templates. 

Step 2: If you don't have a Canva account, then you need to create it for free. 

Step 3: Then, you need to choose a presentation theme and style from the left. Then, select a template from the various free templates you see on the right pane. 

Step 4: Once you select the template, then choose the option of "Customize this template". By default, your presentation is going to have a 1920x1080 resolution but if you get Canva pro, then you can set dimensions on your own for 30 seconds. 

Step 5: Now, you will be taken to the edit mode and you will be able to make changes on the page. This includes text and images.

Step 6: If you wish to add your photos, select the button of Uploads. After that, select the button of "Upload Media". 

Step 7: After that, select a Plus sign for adding a new page. Now, select a photo from uploads and add it to your new blank page. 

Step 8: Now, you can crop the image or add more images on the same page. 

Step 9: Once you are done adding photos to your presentation, select Music from the left pane to add a melodic background for your images. 

Step 10: The audio track will get added automatically and will play throughout the presentation. You can increase or decrease its volume if you like. 

Step 11: Choose the Present option and choose the Presentation type and select how your slideshow looks like. 

Step 12: In the end, you just need to ensure that everything is ok and select the Share button given at the top right corner. After that, click on the Downloads button to save your presentation on your drive.
